Job Summary
Kitting, loading/unloading machines, and performing manual machining while examining parts and materials for defects. Feed, load, or remove components and handle specialty fiber optics, precision optics, and mechanical parts. Sort and count materials, maintain proper records in the Manufacturing Database, and comply with safety programs to keep work areas clean and organized. Ask questions when instructions are unclear and adhere to company policies regarding quantity and quality standards. On-the-job training provided with no prior experience necessary; high school diploma required. Hourly rate $18.00.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift or move objects up to 20 pounds
- Must be able to grasp, manipulate, or assemble parts and components that are often very small
- Must be able to wear appropriate clothing and personal protective equipment such as but not limited to masks, glasses, gloves, and specialty garments
- Must be able to understand written work instructions for a wide range of products to properly manufacture the final product to the highest of quality standards and with a goal of zero scrap or rework
- Must be able to maintain proper records in our Manufacturing Database
- Must be able to comply with the company safety program and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Must be able to meet company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis
- Must be able to adhere to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments
- Must be able to shift from one task to another to address changing production priorities
- Basic mathematic knowledge
- Proficient in basic computer skills such as Microsoft Office

- Experience in manufacturing or hands on work preferred
