General Foreperson

The General Foreperson provides direct supervision and coaching to the line clearance crew, assigns work, interprets and enforces union agreements, and manages safety, performance, and adherence to company policies and OSHA regulations. Responsibilities include safety training, pre-job briefings, coordination with Safety Education Training and Human Resources on personnel matters, interpreting maps and drawings for work orders, maintaining production records and costs, and ensuring safe operation of equipment near energized lines. Requires strong leadership, communication, and the ability to work with customers, the public, and internal departments; 20-30% travel to sites and emergencies; applies ANSI standards and company procedures, and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Education/experience includes 4-5 years on tree trimming/clearing crews or relevant skills assessments; high school diploma preferred; valid First-Aid/CPR and driver’s license (CDL as required); willingness for overtime and emergency response.“
