General Foreman

Job Summary
General Foreman provides organizational leadership, planning, and supervision for construction projects. Responsible for assigning work priorities, developing job plans, defining required parts and materials, coordinating appropriately trained resources, and ensuring safe, efficient project execution with high customer satisfaction. Key duties include safety briefings and daily JSA/JSO reviews, crew and subcontractor management, tracking timesheets and billing units, submitting and validating change orders, maintaining daily logs for customers, escalation handling, prioritization to meet deadlines, managing relationships with customers/vendors/subcontractors, ensuring quality inspections and proper restoration work, and overseeing permit management. Required skills include strong communication (written and verbal), organizational and scheduling capabilities, knowledge of construction practices and cost control, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and project planning software. Must be able to travel and physically inspect job sites; valid driver’s license and clean MVR are required.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of field experience
- minimum 3 years experience supervising a crew
- ability to read and interpret general construction drawings and specifications
- knowledge of construction means, methods, and materials
- strong management, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- valid driver's license and ability to provide a clean MVR
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- proficiency with Microsoft Office and project planning software
- education and experience mix from formal education/military training/technical trade school and field experience
- on-call availability and ability to travel
- prioritization of work to meet deadlines
- ability to supervise subcontractors and manage change orders
- fabrication and materials planning experience
- Safety awareness and experience with Job Site Analysis (JSA) and Job Site Observation (JSO)
