Job Summary
Preview project limits and readiness to determine scope, traffic control setup, and equipment needs. Coordinate and monitor daily production by supervising crew members and organizing all materials. Ensure tasks complete to contract specifications while maintaining a safe work environment. Manage manpower scheduling and delegate directions to a crew with knowledge of subgrade preparation and drainage installation. Read and follow plans and DOT specifications while communicating effectively with project owners, inspectors, and subcontractors. Willing to travel, work various shifts, and adhere to all safety policies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of foreman experience on highway/roadway construction projects
- Experience with project layout and set-up
- Scheduling of manpower, equipment and materials
- Knowledge of subgrade preparation
- Knowledge of water, sanitary and storm drainage pipe installation
- Decision making skills
- Ability to manage, supervise, schedule and delegate directions to a crew
- Ability to read and follow plans
- Ability to follow DOT specifications
- Professional work ethic
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to travel
- Willingness to work various shifts
- Willingness to follow all company safety policies and procedures
