General Foreman - Harvest

Job Summary
Supervise, coordinate, and schedule activities for all Harvest department supervisors while analyzing production problems and recommending solutions to improve methods and motivation. Lead, train, and develop supervisory staff by setting performance standards, coaching on skills, and resolving disputes or grievances. Inspect equipment, structures, and materials to identify errors, ensuring work is performed safely and efficiently in accordance with plant safety, quality, and attendance procedures. Record personnel, production, and operational data, attend daily supervisor meetings, and act as a liaison between plant management and supervisors. Minimize downtime, engage with Maintenance, FSQA, and HR, and complete annual evaluations on supervisors. Work 8-12+ hours in a hot environment, performing physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, with a focus on maintaining positive employee morale and meeting daily standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a beef processing plant
- High School diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years of age and authorized to work in the US
- Must pass pre-employment physical and random drug test to be eligible for employment
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Must be able to communicate effectively in a diverse workforce and with upper level management
- Microsoft Office skills

- Ability to stand, bend, lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work 8-12 + hours a day in a hot environment
- Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and stooping, as needed
