General Foreman

Job Summary
As General Foreman, you will act as the right hand to the Superintendent, overseeing all field and site-specific construction activities. You’ll manage the budget, schedule, performance, and profitability of commercial construction projects while leading and inspiring the Chandos crew on-site. You will also run your own smaller-scale jobs, receive structured training and mentorship to grow into a Superintendent role, and collaborate with the Superintendent, Project Manager, and other field staff. Responsibilities include assisting with leadership and direction for project activities, generating information requests, planning and managing manpower and materials, maintaining documentation (logbooks, safety records, timesheets), monitoring productivity, managing subcontractor relationships, and promoting sustainable construction practices. Required qualifications include Journeyman Status with Red Seal, 3+ years in construction management or related field, and asset considerations such as Commercial Tenant Improvement or Concrete Formwork experience and NCSO. The role requires willingness to work off hours and night shifts; pre-employment physical screening will be conducted. Required Qualifications
- Journeyman Status with Red Seal
- Commercial Tenant Improvement or Concrete Formwork experience is considered an asset
- 3+ years of experience in construction management or a related field
- NCSO is considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of fire-rating systems
- Able and willing to work off hours and night shift
