Job Summary
Maintain a clean and orderly work area while setting up and operating industrial equipment such as Butt Welders, Wire Drums, and Straighteners. Perform first piece inspections, monitor part quality, and sort manufactured components to meet production standards. Move materials using forklifts or non-motorized devices, complete necessary documentation, and assist other operators as needed. Suggest process improvement ideas and identify routine problem causation. Comply with all safety guidelines and manufacturing process requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to use all gauges and gauging techniques required
- Ability to consistently meet production and quality standards
- Ability to demonstrate the knowledge and understanding of all required operator documentation
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to identify routine problem causation and correct routine problems
- Use math skills for blueprint reading and SPC
- Demonstrate the understanding of the manufacturing process and machine requirements to perform basic and repetitive work assignments
- Provide written communication as needed
- Must comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and practices

Desired Qualifications
- Some mechanical or technical training
- Forklift operation/material-handling experience
- Experience operating multiple-types of manufacturing equipment
