Job Summary
Oversee and direct all facility functions while supervising and mentoring Repair Technicians. Coordinate workload with the Midwest Service Center to direct repairs to the most efficient location, and support Sales with technical expertise, cost estimates, and schedule guidance. Provide guidance on spindle failure causes, review final repair reports to ensure standards, and assign repairs based on technician proficiency. Review and finalize spindle evaluation reports to determine repair costs for quotes. This highly visible role at an established machine tool spindle repair company offers a clear path to General Management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Strong ethical / moral character and internally motivated
- A mechanical or electromechanical background of experience capable of performing engineering / calculations of rotating equipment machine elements
- Proficiency in super precision rolling element bearing engineering and application
- Experience in bearing and mechanical component failure analysis
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be well organized and committed to excellence
- A team player who is committed to customer service and adding value
Desired Qualifications
- Technical knowledge of super precision rolling element bearing application in high-speed rotating equipment
- Specific experience in machine tool service or machining / grinding
