Job Summary
Supervise students across hallways, lunchrooms, playgrounds, and classrooms while practicing skills with small groups. Work with students on academic skills, assist teachers in field trip supervision, and help maintain classrooms and supply inventories. Report unusual incidents to teachers and the principal while maintaining confidentiality and a neat work environment. Monitor supply needs and assist the main office with assigned projects. Perform duties in an office or school setting with occasional outside meetings, including exposure to body fluids and emergency situations. Maintain reliable attendance and operate a motor vehicle for site travel.
Required Qualifications
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to interact positively with students, teachers, parents, and other stakeholders.
- Knowledge of district policies and procedures.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to see and hear within normal limits with or without corrective lenses or hearing aids.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle used to travel between sites.
- Drug, tobacco, and alcohol-free while working.
Desired Qualifications
- Some experience with supervising children preferred.
