General Duty X-Ray Technologist

Job Summary
Perform routine radiological procedures on inpatients and outpatients (including mobile imaging), and assist radiologists with Central Line Placements, Fluoroscopy and OR procedures. Requires graduation from a recognized Medical Imaging Technology program and eligibility for CAMRT registration within three months. CPR training in accordance with employer policy. Strong interpersonal, English communication skills, and compassion for patients; ability to handle patients with high anxiety. Physical ability to stand/move for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and operate radiology equipment. This is a term position (temporary) with shift coverage including days, evenings, and weekends, in-person at Shared Health’s Winnipeg site. Highlighted preferences include Indigenous language knowledge and Indigenous cultural awareness. Accommodations available upon request during assessment and selection process. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a recognized school of Medical Imaging Technology
- Successful completion of an accredited Medical Imaging Technology Program, eligible for registration with the CAMRT and registration within three months of hire
- CPR training requirements per employer policy
- Criminal Records Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Child Abuse Registry Check, Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment
- Ability to demonstrate compassion and communicate effectively in English; good interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual dexterity tasks
- Experience with PACS and RIS preferred
- Preference for Indigenous language/Indigenous knowledge
