Job Summary
General Duty Sonographer performs ultrasound services as defined at regional and local levels, manages patient care, exam requests, diagnostic file management, and equipment and supplies while maintaining Accreditation standards. Requires completion of an approved ultrasound training program and active Sonography Canada registration; CPR training required. Demonstrates strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team. May travel within the service area and work at more than one Shared Health site; in-person duties for maternity/parental term with potential scheduling around days and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an approved and accredited Ultrasound training program.
- Active registration status with Sonography Canada in the appropriate practitioner category.
- CPR training in accordance with employer policy.
