Job Summary
The RN provides professional registered nursing services for patients, including those with complex and unpredictable health needs, with responsibilities for independent nursing, administration of prescribed treatments, leadership within the healthcare team, and coordination of patient care and discharge. Knowledge and application of RHPA, PHIA, WHMIS, and related standards, plus CPR and ECG Monitoring, are required. Preference given to candidates with surgical experience and Indigenous language/knowledge. Strong communication, critical thinking, prioritization, and ability to work in a demanding environment are essential. In-person role at Health Sciences Centre, Winnipeg; shifts include days, nights, and weekends; 12-hour days.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program
- Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM)
- Must successfully complete an Electrocardiogram (ECG) Monitoring & Rhythm Analysis course within 12 months of employment
- Must successfully complete Progressive Care Unit course within 18 months of employment
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training per employer policy
