General Duty MRI Technologist

Job Summary
Perform diagnostic MRI scans under supervision in the Diagnostic Imaging MRI unit, maintaining a safe environment and ensuring compliance with quality assurance programs and Accreditation standards. Operate MR imaging equipment according to established procedures; demonstrate dexterity and precise adherence to instructions. Communicate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team, maintain confidentiality, and uphold professional standards. Position requires CAMRT eligibility/registration, BCLS certification, and the ability to work in a Manitoba Shared Health setting; the role is in-person with flexible shifts (days/evenings/nights/weekends) and a 0.70 FTE workload.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved MRI training program
- Successful completion of CAMRT registration examinations or eligible for CAMRT registration within three months of hire
- Current BCLS or BCLS Instructor Certificate
- Experience with Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and Picture Archiving Systems (PACS)
- Demonstrated competency in manipulation and selection of MR images
- Proficient in operating diagnostic instrumentation per approved scopes of practice
- Demonstrated effective communication in English; bilingual may be required
