General Duty MRI Technologist

Job Summary
The General Duty MRI Technologist performs diagnostic MRI scans under supervision, maintaining safety and quality assurance in accordance with CAMRT standards and accreditation. The incumbent operates MRI equipment, assists with RIS/PACS documentation, and collaborates within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver patient-centered imaging services. Requires a graduate MRI training program and eligibility for CAMRT registration within three months, plus current BCLS. Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office, strong interpretive and technical skills, and effective communication in English (French may be required). This in-person role at Thompson General Hospital is 0.50 FTE with days, evenings, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved MRI training program
- Eligible for CAMRT registration within three months of hire
- Current BCLS within the past 12 months or BCLS Instructor Certificate
- Proficiency with Windows computer environment and Microsoft Office
- Experience with RIS and PACS (Radiology Information Systems and Picture Archiving Systems)
- Demonstrated competency in manipulation and selection of MR images; precise following of instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team; strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Fluent English; French language skills may be required
