Job Summary
General Duty Medical Laboratory Technologist responsible for clinical analysis and reporting on patient samples per established protocols, and for assisting in lab projects such as SOPs and chemical inventories. Maintain a safe laboratory environment, ensure compliance with quality assurance programs and accreditation standards, and adhere to organizational policies. Works under general supervision, with responsibilities including independent and team-based tasks, and potential rotation through various workstations. Requires current MLT credentialing in Manitoba and active or eligible CMLTM registration; CSMLS considered an asset; English fluency (French may be required). Shifts include days, nights, weekends; position is in-person.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Medical Laboratory Technology program
- Current registration or eligible for registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Manitoba (CMLTM)
- Current membership with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) considered an asset
- Communicate effectively in English (written and oral)
- Proficient with Windows/Office
- Ability to follow instructions precisely and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- French language may be required
- Shift flexibility: days, nights, weekends; standby/callback may be required
