Job Summary
General Duty Medical Laboratory Technologist responsible for clinical analysis and reporting on patient samples per established protocols; assist with lab projects (SOPs, chemical inventories); maintain a safe environment and ensure QA/Accreditation compliance; duties performed under supervision with opportunities for standby/on-call coverage and rotation through multiple workstations. Requires effective English communication; ability to work independently and as a team; proficiency with Windows and MS Office; bilingual French may be required. Shifts include days, evenings, weekends with standby/on-call as needed; in-person lab setting in Thompson, Manitoba.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Medical Laboratory Technology program
- Current registration or eligible for registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Manitoba (CMLTM)
- Current membership with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) considered an asset
