Job Summary
Perform electrocardiograms (EKG), graded exercise tests (GXT), Holter hook-ups and analysis, and other related duties within the Non-Invasive Cardiac Diagnostics Department (EKG, Holter, Stress Lab) at Seven Oaks General Hospital. Responsibilities include peer/trainee instruction, collaboration within an inter-professional team, and contributing to safe, high-quality patient care. Requires Cardiology Technician Certificate Program completion and CSCT certification (Advanced level preferred if applicable). Must be proficient with computer systems and standard software, demonstrate strong organizational, time-management, verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to adapt to a changing environment. Work arrangement is in-person with night and weekend shifts; employment is indefinite/temporary with potential renewal, and compliance with required background checks. The role is based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, within Shared Health (SOGH). Accommodation is available upon request during assessment and selection.
Required Qualifications
- Current certification by the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT)
- Advanced CSCT certification, or recognized equivalent, required
- Successful completion of Cardiology Technician Certificate Program (e.g., Red River College or equivalent)
- Proficiency with computer systems and common software (email, internet)
- Demonstrated communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and manage time effectively
- Ability to prioritize workload and demonstrate problem-solving and critical analysis skills
