Job Summary
Diagnose and treat cavities, cracked or fractured teeth, and oral diseases while performing procedures such as root canals, tooth extractions, and surgical work on teeth, bone, and soft tissues. Administer medications and anesthetics to sedate patients, prepare and place fillings, and create detailed treatment plans. Educate patients on oral hygiene habits, aftercare, and answer questions regarding their care. Interpret x-rays and diagnostic tests, prescribe antibiotics and pain-relieving medications, and create models for dental appliances. Work in a paperless environment equipped with Panorex, intra-oral cameras, and an Itero scanner.
Required Qualifications
- D.S. or D.M.D. from a school accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) and American Dental Association
- 3+ years of private practice experience in a fee for service environment
- Licensed to practice in the state
- Certified in BLS/ACLS
- Accurate and precise attention to detail
- Compassionate and caring of patients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work in an intense, concentrated environment
- Calm and cool-headed with a positive attitude
- Complies with all office, local, state, and American Dental Association regulations, protocols, and procedures
