Job Summary
Examine patients' medical records, prepare them for treatment with oral sedation or anesthesia, and diagnose dental problems using X-rays and tests. Clean teeth, remove plaque, identify decay, and replace cavities with fillings. Design and fit prosthetics like bridges, crowns, and dentures, while applying whitening treatments and performing extractions, root canals, and surgeries on diseased tissues. Prescribe medication as needed and educate patients on proper brushing, flossing, and fluoride use to promote good oral health and preventive care through regular check-ups. Requires a DDS or DMD degree, license to practice, and experience with dental equipment and surgeries.
