Job Summary
Diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth, gums, and related oral structures through patient examinations, x-rays, and diagnostic procedures. Clean, fill, extract, and replace teeth using rotary and hand instruments, dental appliances, medications, and surgical implements. Provide preventive dental services and education in oral hygiene while coordinating laboratory services. Adhere to safety protocols, including OSHA and bloodborne pathogen requirements, and participate in morning huddles, chart reviews, and routine office meetings. Maintain a professional demeanor with patients and ensure all practices comply with applicable state laws and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- DDS or DMD degree
- Licensed in state in which practicing
- Ability to obtain licensure upon graduation
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate
- Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certificate
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of a general practice residency (GPR)
- Completion of an advanced education general dentistry residency (AEGD)
