Job Summary
Conduct a full range of professional dental tasks including extractions, restorative procedures, and complex periodontal care. Diagnose and treat difficult cases involving endodontics, oral surgery, and prosthodontics, managing dentoalveolar surgery and implant placements. Perform vital pulp therapy, root canal treatments, and surgical removal of pathologic tissues. Monitor community oral health status, investigate hazards, and enforce regulations to protect public safety. Provide comprehensive pediatric care, including sedation and treatment for special needs patients. Deliver forensic dentistry support and conduct histopathologic diagnoses for oral diseases.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medical in Dentistry (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS)
- Graduate from an accredited dental school approved by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) of the American Dental Association (ADA)
- Board eligible or board certified as required in the TO
- Completed a clinical post-doctoral program approved by the ADA in the specialty identified in the TO
- Employed for at least one (1) year on a full time basis in the practice of dentistry, or be a recent (1-year) graduate of an accredited, post-graduate dentistry training program
- Dental specialists shall have a certificate of training in their specialty area from an ADA accredited residency training program
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a dentist
