Job Summary
Conduct direct dental care for clinic patients including examinations, diagnosis, treatment, and restorative procedures such as fillings, root canals, bridges, and extractions. Administer anesthetics safely, apply sealants and fluoride treatments, and teach oral hygiene techniques while maintaining patient records and managing the dental team. Accept emergency calls as scheduled or needed, document on-call assessments, and complete charts timely. Participate in staff meetings to plan and implement health service improvements while maintaining established productivity standards. Requires Louisiana dental licensure, BLS certification, and experience with electronic health records. Part-time or PRN schedule in Shreveport or Bossier.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited dental school with a DDS or DMD
- Expertise in using dental tools and instruments for precise, delicate procedures
- Ability to communicate complex treatment plans effectively to patients
- Ability to demonstrate care, patience and compassion for patient comfort
- Experience with electronic health records
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- Licenses to practice dentistry in the State of Louisiana
- Part-Time or PRN Shreveport or Bossier
