Job Summary
Follow all Go West Camps guidelines, American Camp Association standards, and County Health Department standards while providing consistent support to camper groups throughout each session. Assist, support, and facilitate daily activities promoting social, emotional, and physical growth, including helping with lunch and snack times and supervising children during meals and transitions. Build strong relationships with campers and families, support Check-In and Check-Out procedures, and maintain open, professional relationships with staff and parents. Ensure proper use, organization, and care of materials and equipment while sharing in assigned cleaning responsibilities. Attend all trainings, meetings, and in-services, remaining flexible to an open schedule and assisting with other camp projects.
Required Qualifications
- Age: 18+
- Experience working with children (required)
- CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications
- Valid driver's license (eligible to drive camp vehicles after training)
- Must be able to move actively throughout camp, supervise children outdoors, and maintain awareness in a dynamic environment
- Go West Camps is a drug-, alcohol-, and tobacco-free facility
- Participation in occasional overnights and weekend programs may be required
- Employment at Go West Camps in contingent on clear State and Federal background checks and fingerprinting
