Job Summary

Draft and review complex commercial agreements for equipment sales; analyze statutory and regulatory requirements for sales, installation, and marketing; and counsel on warranty documents and dealer network laws. Manage litigation support, merger due diligence, and product compliance risks with NHSTA, EPA, and CARB. Develop standard processes, metrics, and templates to improve contract workflows while establishing long-term legal department goals and managing the legal budget. Work onsite Monday through Thursday with 25% travel allowed.

Required Qualifications

  • J.D. degree from an accredited US law school
  • Member in good standing of a State Bar Association
  • 15+ years' experience practicing as an attorney
  • at least 10+ years' experience as in-house counsel
  • Strong corporate transactional background with experience negotiating and drafting a variety of complex commercial agreements
  • Strong experience in the areas of distribution and antitrust law
  • Strong legal judgment and executive presence
  • Proven experience in business law; strong business acumen
  • Expert grasp of contracting concepts and superior legal and analytical skills
  • excellent judgment and initiative in selecting the most effective solutions and in creating and implementing standard tools to resolve recurring business and/or commercial issues
  • Strong internal and external communication and negotiation skills
