Job Summary
Lead all core legal activities, including corporate governance and contract negotiation, while advising executive leadership and the Board on regulatory and business matters. Oversee corporate transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and licensing agreements, and manage outside counsel relationships and legal budgets. Develop company policies to uphold legal standards, lead intellectual property strategy including patent filings, and support crisis management and internal investigations. Guide legal aspects of product development, marketing, and sales initiatives, fostering a culture of compliance across the organization. This strategic role guides Accrete AI's legal strategy in support of rapid growth and expansion into federal and commercial markets.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the bar
- 15+ years of progressive legal experience
- Senior roles in technology, AI, or government contracting industries
- Demonstrated expertise in corporate law, contracts, intellectual property, compliance, and regulatory affairs
- Experience advising high-growth startups and managing complex legal risks
- Strong understanding of federal procurement law, cybersecurity regulations, and data privacy (e.g., CMMC, GDPR, CCPA)
- Prior experience working with federal agencies or defense contractors
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strategic mindset with a strong business acumen and ability to influence leadership decisions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- High integrity and commitment to ethical practices
- Collaborative approach with cross-functional teams including engineering, sales, and compliance
- Proactive risk management and problem-solving orientation
