Job Summary
Temporary Administrative/Clerk role supporting the State of NM's Early Childhood Education and Care Department. Responsibilities include screening childcare assistance applications, identifying over-payments, contacting clients for missing documents or signatures, reviewing worker caseloads, assisting in the distribution of one-time payments, reconciling payments and overpayments, supporting recertification activities, generating and sending closure letters, and ensuring compliance with Federal and State policies. Requires 2+ years of Administrative/Office Clerk experience, High School degree, ability to pass a background check, strong MS Office and organizational skills, and a focus on accuracy, confidentiality, and customer service. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8 am–5 pm, in-office in Albuquerque, NM; temporary assignment with weekly pay at $17.86/hour.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years' experience working as an Administrative Assistant or Office Clerk
- High School degree
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Significant experience with office management and daily operations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Good practical experience with MS Office
- Excellent knowledge of office equipment
- Strong verbal skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
