Job Summary
Sweep, dust, mop, vacuum, extract carpets, strip and wax floors, remove trash, recycle, and sanitize restrooms and locker rooms. Wash windows, clean desks, walls, furniture, doors, entry glass, interior glass, counter tops, chalkboards, whiteboards, blinds, and light fixtures. Perform any other duties as directed by the custodial supervisor. Maintain cleanliness and daily upkeep of all assigned areas within school facilities. This physically demanding role requires lifting up to 25 pounds frequently and working in varying temperatures during school hours. Optional daily pay and medical, dental, and vision insurance are available.
Required Qualifications
- Reliable transportation
- Must be able to clear and pass background check
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push and pull
- The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 25 pounds on a frequent basis, up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
- Extensive walking and standing for the duration of the shift
- Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks with production and service time frames as established by the company
- Ability to work with various temperatures extreme from hot to cold
- Team focused approach requiring ability to work with others and take direction
- Physically demanding fast-paced environment requiring ability to work efficiently with attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- High school degree preferred but not required
- Previous cleaning experience a plus
