Job Summary
Sweep, dust, mop, vacuum, extract carpets, and wax floors to maintain daily facility cleanliness. Remove trash, sanitize restrooms and locker rooms, polish entryways, wash windows, and clean desks, walls, furniture, and light fixtures. Perform snow and ice removal and any other duties directed by the custodial supervisor. This physically demanding role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, extensive walking, and working in varying temperatures. Reports to the Site Supervisor in a fast-paced educational environment.
Required Qualifications
- Background check required
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push and pull
- The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 25 pound on a frequent basis, up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
- Extensive walking and standing for the duration of the shift
- Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks with production and service time frames as established by the company
- Ability to work with various temperatures extreme from hot to cold
- Reliable transportation
Desired Qualifications
- High school degree preferred, but not required
- Previous cleaning experience a plus
- Excellent work history
- Team focused approach requiring ability to work with others and take direction
- Physically demanding fast-paced environment requiring ability to work efficiently with attention to detail
