Job Summary
Sweep, dust, mop, vacuum, and extract carpets to maintain daily facility cleanliness. Remove trash, sanitize restrooms and locker rooms, polish entryways, wash windows, and clean desks, walls, furniture, and glass surfaces. Strip and wax floors, remove snow and ice, and perform any other duties directed by the custodial supervisor. Work Sun through Thursday from 8 PM to 4:30 AM in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment requiring the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in extreme temperatures. This role is part of HES's national educational facilities management program.
Required Qualifications
- Background check required
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push and pull
- The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 25 pound on a frequent basis, up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
- Extensive walking and standing for the duration of the shift
- Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks with production and service time frames as established by the company
- Ability to work with various temperatures extreme from hot to cold
- Reliable transportation
Desired Qualifications
- High school degree preferred, but not required
- Previous cleaning experience a plus
- Excellent work history
