Job Summary
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust walls, vents, screens, furniture, light fixtures, window blinds, brass, and other interior fixtures. Wash interior and exterior windows and glass doors. Clean restrooms, including sinks and toilets, and replenish supplies. Sweep entryways, empty exterior cigarette urns, and empty trashcans immediately outside building entrances. Complete assigned work orders, move or set up furniture as directed, and notify management of needed repairs. Organize and supply custodial closets as needed. This full-time, second-shift role at Kansas University Medical Center includes optional daily pay and benefits such as medical, dental, life insurance, paid vacation, and a 401K/403b plan.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be available for 2nd Shift
- Must be able to sweep, mop, and vacuum
- Must be able to dust and clean walls, vents, screens, furniture, drinking fountains, light fixtures, window blinds, brass, and other interior fixtures
- Must be able to wash interior and exterior windows and glass doors
- Must be able to sweep entryways, empty exterior cigarette urns, and empty trashcans immediately outside building entrances
- Must be able to clean restrooms, including sinks and toilets, and replenish supplies
- Must be able to complete work requests to notify management of needed repair work
- Must be able to organize and supply custodial closets as needed
- Must be able to move, remove, and/or set up furniture, furnishings, supplies, equipment, and any other items, inside specified rooms for special functions as directed
- Must be able to complete assigned work orders
