Job Summary
Sweep, dust, mop, vacuum, extract carpets, strip and wax floors, remove trash, recycle, and sanitize restrooms and locker rooms while polishing entryways, washing windows, and cleaning desks, walls, furniture, doors, glass, counters, chalkboards, whiteboards, blinds, and light fixtures. Perform any additional duties as directed by the custodial supervisor in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment requiring the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying temperatures. This role supports HES's mission to maintain best-in-class facilities for over 150 educational partners across 29 states, ensuring daily upkeep of more than 200 million square feet.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Reliable transportation
- Background check required
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push and pull
- The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 25 pound on a frequent basis, up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
- Extensive walking and standing for the duration of the shift
- Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks with production and service time frames as established by the company
- Ability to work with various temperatures extreme from hot to cold
