Job Summary
Conduct daily custodial duties across all facility areas, including administrative offices, lobbies, breakrooms, corridors, bathrooms, elevators, and stairways. Sanitize restrooms by sweeping, mopping, dusting surfaces, and restocking supplies. Clean furniture, exhibit cases, fixtures, windows, doors, trim, and related furnishings, moving items only when directed. Collect recyclable and non-recyclable waste, replace trash liners, and empty trash into proper dumping areas. Vacuum traffic areas, clean visible carpet debris, and disinfect telephones. Polish tables, benches, chairs, stainless steel surfaces, water fountains, and sinks. Safely empty heavy trash, secure job areas with safety signs, and lock/unlock doors and windows as necessary. Report safety hazards to a supervisor, follow infection control practices, and ensure cleaning carts and closets are properly secured and replenished. Complete work orders, corrective inspection forms, and additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Be able to lift 50 lbs
- Be able to lift heavy trash
- Be able to lift and dump trash
- Be able to break down heavy trash into more manageable weights
- Be able to use safety poles for high dusting
- Be able to use PPE
- Be able to follow infection control practices
- Be able to follow hand washing techniques
- Be able to follow Safety Procedures
- Be able to use germicidal and cleaner disinfectants
- Be able to use cleaning carts
- Be able to lock and unlock doors and windows
- Be able to turn off lights when rooms are unoccupied
- Be able to secure job area with safety signs
- Be able to identify and report safety hazards
- Be able to complete work orders
- Be able to complete corrective inspection forms
- Be able to dress in company uniform
- Be able to wear employee badge
- Be able to wear black slip resistant safety shoes
- Be able to work a flexible work schedule which includes nights, weekends, and holidays
- Be able to work Monday through Friday, 4:30 PM - 1 AM
- Be able to work full-time, 40 hours a week
- Be able to report to work on time
- Be able to keep custodial closets locked at all times
- Be able to sign in and out keys
- Be able to leave cleaning equipment and materials clean at the end of each shift
- Be able to keep hallways and pathways clear of carts, cleaning equipment, tools, and any other hazardous items
- Be able to replenish cleaning carts
- Be able to stock restroom with supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap
- Be able to clean toilets and sanitize restrooms
- Be able to sweep, mop, and dust all surfaces
- Be able to clean administrative offices, lobbies, breakrooms, lounges, corridors, bathrooms, elevators and stairways
- Be able to clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, fixtures, windows, doors, trim, and related furnishings
- Be able to move furniture, supplies and miscellaneous only when directed by a supervisor
- Be able to clean telephones
- Be able to vacuum fully in traffic areas
- Be able to clean visible debris on carpets
- Be able to clean light switches, doors and walls
- Be able to clean tops of modular furniture and blinds
- Be able to clean and/or polish tables, benches and chairs
- Be able to clean stainless steel elevators, escalators, water fountains, and sinks
- Be able to remove cobwebs
- Be able to collect both recyclable and non-recyclable waste
- Be able to replace trash cans liners where applicable
- Be able to safely empty trash into the proper dumping area
