Job Summary

Independently read blueprints and specifications to determine layout, sequencing, and material needs for commercial construction projects. Execute complex rough and finish carpentry tasks including framing, blocking, concrete formwork, and installing trim, doors, and ceiling grids. Coordinate sequencing with other trades, mentor less experienced staff, and troubleshoot layout or quality issues on site. Operate hand and power tools safely while maintaining clean work areas and reporting concerns to foremen. Requires 3-5 years of carpentry experience, OSHA 10 certification, and ability to lift 50 lbs regularly.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years of carpentry or commercial construction field experience
  • Strong working knowledge of hand and power tools, and layout/measurement techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications independently
  • Experience with both rough and finish carpentry on commercial projects
  • OSHA 10 certification
  • Reliable transportation to assigned jobsites
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly, and heavier loads with assistance
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders or scaffolding for extended periods
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces as required by the task
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on active jobsites

Desired Qualifications

  • Trade school or apprenticeship training
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • Demonstrated ability to guide or mentor less experienced carpenters and laborers
