Job Summary
Manage the medical care of a patient panel through direct clinic visits, inpatient rounds, and arranging coverage for hospitalized patients. Collaborate with patients, families, and advanced practice providers to ensure care outcomes, while documenting histories and physicals per medical staff bylaws. Provide call coverage for both clinic and inpatient patients in accordance with BJC policies. Work Monday through Friday for 36 patient-facing hours with a shared call rotation of 1:4 or better. Join an established team of four non-interventional cardiologists and seven nurse practitioners at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters and Progress West hospitals in St. Charles County, Missouri.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certified/Board Eligible
- Non-Interventional Cardiologist
- Doctorate in Medicine
- Licensed Physician
- 2-5 years experience
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with APP support for continuity of care
- Experience completing medical records
- Experience providing MyChart consultations
- Experience in inbasket management
- Experience conducting patient-specific education
- Experience collaborating with advanced practice providers and care team members
- Experience managing inpatient hospital care of physician's patients
- Experience making arrangements with hospitalists
- Experience providing call coverage for clinic patients
- Experience providing call coverage for inpatient patients
- Experience collaborating and teaching advanced practice providers, support staff or care team members
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
