Job Summary
Provide cardiology consultation and management services to veterans within the VISN 20 Medical Specialty Care Oversight Taskforce (MASCOT), developing a strong telehealth presence and serving as a consultant for regional providers. Interpret cardiac studies, manage coronary heart disease, heart failure, valvular, congenital, and rhythm disorders, and supervise advanced practice providers across the hub and spoke network. This role requires reporting to the VISN 20 Cardiology MASCOT director and may involve travel to multiple duty stations. Candidates must possess expertise in electrocardiography, ambulatory rhythm monitoring, stress testing, and echocardiography, with board certification/eligibility in echocardiography expected. An academic appointment at the University of Washington School of Medicine is commensurate with experience.
Required Qualifications
- Board certification/eligibility in echocardiography

- Ability to develop a strong telehealth presence
- Ability to serve as a consultant/resource for cardiology and primary care advanced providers
- Ability to supervise, mentor, and educate cardiology advanced practice providers
- Ability to coordinate care between facilities
- Ability to travel to multiple duty stations within VISN 20
