Job Summary
Board-certified General Cardiologist sought to join a growing multidisciplinary medical group in Southfield, MI. Responsibilities include developing a comprehensive cardiology department offering diagnostic testing, cardiac catheterizations, pacemaker implantation, cardiac rehabilitation, inpatient/outpatient consultations, and participation in academic programs and research. The role involves overreading cardiovascular imaging (echocardiograms, stress tests, ECGs, nuclear cardiology), coordinating discharge planning, driving quality and cost-effectiveness improvements, accepting referrals, and providing weekend rounding until noon to support work-life balance.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certified in Cardiology (or Board Eligible with intent to certify)
- Active or eligible for Michigan medical license
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency and cardiology fellowship
- Ability to interpret a broad range of cardiovascular imaging
- Strong clinical and diagnostic acumen
