Job Summary
Carry out general building, repair, maintenance, and refurbishment works across social housing properties in Pembrokeshire, including plastering, brickwork, rendering, patch repairs, tiling, and carpentry. Complete responsive repairs and planned maintenance to a high standard while working safely in both occupied and vacant properties. Identify additional defects or maintenance issues and report them to the appropriate supervisor. Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment at all times. Work professionally and respectfully around residents, tenants, and members of the public, following company health and safety procedures, risk assessments, and method statements. Complete work within agreed timescales and to the required quality standards, collaborating with other trades and site team members.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working as a General Builder or in a similar construction/maintenance role
- Good knowledge of general building and property maintenance practices
- Ability to carry out a range of building tasks to a high standard
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements within the construction industry
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills, particularly when working in residents' homes
- Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your workmanship
- A full UK driving licence
