Job Summary
Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicle automotive systems, including removing and reinstalling transmission systems. Assist other technicians in performing technical activities and explain discovered problems to service writers. Professionally record findings to ensure accurate repair cost estimates while continuously learning new technical information, equipment, and repair techniques. Hold a valid driver's license and own professional grade tools to service general repair needs, applying experience in mechanical and electrical diagnostics. Daytime work hours with access to AAMCO's proprietary training programs and a live technician support hotline.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years' experience working as a General Automotive Technician
- Hold a valid driver's license
- Own professional grade tools to service any general repair need
- Experience troubleshooting and conducting both mechanical and electrical diagnostics, including drivability testing
- Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment
