Job Summary

Perform basic maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacement, and multi-point inspections. Use diagnostic tools and software to identify issues, then interpret technical manuals and schematics to guide repairs. Conduct thorough inspections and road tests to verify fixes, ensuring all work meets manufacturer and safety standards. Review and verify repair work while maintaining accurate documentation of diagnostics and repairs. Work closely with service advisors to communicate timelines and help prioritize workflow for shop productivity.

Required Qualifications

  • Knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures
  • Basic mechanical knowledge
  • Own tools (basic set)
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software
  • Ability to read service and repair manuals
  • Ability to perform repairs in a timely fashion
  • Ability to read and interpret repair orders
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly
  • Must be able to inspect vehicle to determine repairs needed
  • Good vision to inspect repair work
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel and squat to perform repairs and inspections
  • Must be able to reach below and above shoulder level
  • Must comply with all safety requirements
