Job Summary
General Assistant at ALS supports sample flow, assists in packing and shipping sampling supplies, and provides customer service.Responsibilities include preparing bottle orders and sample preservatives for packing/shipping, reviewing orders for errors, receiving supplies, inspecting and labeling client samples, maintaining a clean work area, and performing general duties per procedures to ensure analytical quality and safety. Requires high school graduation (chemistry preferred), basic computer skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Full training provided; physical requirements include standing/sitting for a full shift and lifting up to 50 lbs. Competitive benefits and opportunities for growth are offered.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduation required with some chemistry preferred
- Some lab experience would be an asset
- Full training will be provided
- Able to stand or sit for a full shift; Able to lift 50 lbs. and carry for short distances
- English communication skills (auditory, verbal, writing, reading) required
- Basic computer skills; MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) proficiency
