Job Summary
Rotate daily between refurbishing and packing responsibilities based on production needs. Refurbish, inspect, and prepare products for shipment according to established procedures. Assemble and rework mechanical and electronic components, program firmware, scan serial numbers, and print labels using a computer. Use hand tools and electronic test equipment to complete assigned tasks while reading work instructions and quality procedures. Work closely with team members to meet daily production and shipping goals and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all company safety policies and quality standards. This four-month contract-to-hire position with PTS Advance in Lorain, OH, offers a full-time schedule at $17.25/hour for mechanically inclined candidates with assembly experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Ability to stand for the entire shift
- Ability to lift 45–70 pounds throughout the workday
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and work safely in a manufacturing environment
Desired Qualifications
- At least one year of mechanical assembly or electronics assembly experience preferred
- Experience using hand tools and basic electronic test equipment
- Ability to read and follow written work instructions and manufacturing procedures
- Comfortable using a computer for programming, scanning, and label printing
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Reliable attendance and a team-oriented attitude
