Job Summary
As a Whole-House Generator Technician, you will install, maintain, and repair Generac standby power systems for residential and small business customers. Responsibilities include installing electrical and gas connections for Generac systems, performing scheduled maintenance, load testing, and diagnostics to ensure peak performance, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and control issues, configuring generator control panels and automatic transfer switches (ATS), educating customers on operation and maintenance, and maintaining accurate service records with clear communication to office and customers. A valid driver’s license and familiarity with local electrical and gas codes are required; Generac certification is preferred. The role emphasizes customer-focused service, safety, and reliability to keep homes and businesses powered during outages.
