Job Summary
Collaborate with teachers to implement MTSS and PBIS strategies, modeling positive behavioral interventions across all building situations. Assist classroom instruction in skills rooms while maintaining a structured, positive learning environment for all students. Monitor student progress by inputting data into the student system, tracking records, and providing feedback to instructional staff. Walk hallways during class and passing times to report issues to office personnel, resolving conflicts and building rapport with culturally diverse students. Communicate daily with staff regarding instruction and student concerns, utilizing developmentally appropriate practices under teacher direction.
Required Qualifications
- Computer skills to input data into student data system and manipulate spreadsheets
- Ability to resolve conflicts
- Ability to communicate and relate to students in a non-threatening and friendly manner
- Patience and positive interpersonal skills with all students
- Strong inter-personal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students
- Good attendance and punctuality
- Ability to stand for a period of time
- Ability to walk for extended period of time
- Ability to lift/push/pull 50 lbs
- Must be flexible due to changes in schedule and student population
