Job Summary
Gen AI Engineer responsible for analyzing and modeling organizational data for AI, with emphasis on developing and deploying NLP/Gen AI models. Responsibilities include data extraction, transformation, and loading to connect large data sets; building and tuning LLMS/GAI models; designing end-to-end NLP/LLM model development lifecycles (incl. RAG, retrieval and search); creating and maintaining ML pipelines for batch and streaming data; collaborating with MLOps and product teams to deploy models into production; ensuring governance, standards, and SLA adherence; optimizing model performance and resource usage; and driving architecture decisions for NLP/Gen AI initiatives. Required capabilities include advanced Python, experience with Hugging Face, TensorFlow/Keras/PyTorch/Spark, cloud platforms (GCP/AWS), LLM deployment and prompt engineering, as well as leadership experience in Agile/SAFe environments. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field and 4+ years of related experience; hybrid in-office work 1-2 days per week with potential for alternate locations within commuting distance, and no visa sponsorship eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Operational Research, Statistics, Mathematics, etc. or equivalent degree
- 4+ years of experience in related field
- Advanced Python proficiency
- Experience with Python, SQL, Hugging Face, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, Spark
- Experience with GCP/AWS cloud platforms
- Experience developing or tuning LLMs and Generative AI
- NLP, LLMs, fine-tuning and model development
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- 4+ years project leadership experience (Agile, SAFE)
