Job Summary
Gelcoat department role involving spraying gelcoat onto boat hulls and decks, reading production orders, and applying the requested colors. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean work area, collaborating with a team to meet daily tasks, inspecting parts to ensure quality, and using a gelcoat gun and small hand tools. Must be able to wear a full-face respirator and work in a safety-sensitive environment; physical aptitude for lifting up to 50 pounds and working in non-climate controlled settings. Preferred experience includes autobody/boat gelcoat painting and fiberglass/resin familiarity. Shift is second shift (4:30 pm–2:30 am), Sunday night through Thursday night, with a starting pay of $16.40/hour (includes shift premium).
Required Qualifications
- Must meet physical requirements (heavy lifting, bending, twisting)
- Must be able to handle chemicals (gelcoat, fiberglass, resin)
- Must have strong attention to detail
- Must be able to follow directions from supervisors
- Must wear full mask respirator and PPE as required
- Must be able to pass drug testing (safety sensitive position)
- Experience with gelcoat painting, fiberglass, resin preferred
