Job Summary
Analyze customer one-line diagrams and schematics to research required switchgear, then prepare cost estimates and qualify BoM requests using internal quotation software. Act as the Subject Matter Expert for Switchgear and Power Distribution by reading electrical specifications, equipment drawings, and project documentation. Collaborate with branches and customer service representatives to review, identify, and follow up on all aspects of Switchgear projects while maintaining positive relations with customers and coworkers. Perform other duties as assigned within the CES Online division.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of electrical switchgear or power systems application experience
- Prior inside sales experience, with a track record of managing customer relationships and closing quotes
- Proficient in reading and/or interpreting electrical specifications and electrical drawings
- Understanding of the different types of equipment typically encountered, including switchgear, transformers, and motors
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with MS Office applications like Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
- Overnight travel is less than 10%
- The employee must be able to lift and move items up to 75 pounds
