Job Summary
Design custom gearing and enclosed gear units. Responsibilities include performing dimensional layouts, gear geometry and gear rating calculations, bearing life calculations, and using AutoCad and ProE software. The role involves preparing drawings and BOM’s for the shop and reverse engineering gearboxes for rebuild, as well as interfacing with customers and sales staff on product design.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 yr Mechanical Engineering Degree
- Ability to utilize CAD (2D & 3D)
Desired Qualifications
- Five (5) years design experience
- Experience in gear design
- Experience in geometric tolerance
- Experience in gearbox rebuilds
- Experience in bearing life calculation
