Job Summary

Conduct on-the-floor and video-based observations of manufacturing and inspection processes to document manual time and automatic cycle time for Shared Resource, high-volume machining, and QA CMM operations. Collect process timing data to support productivity analysis and operations improvement efforts, ensuring accuracy and organization. Partner with operations, manufacturing engineering, and quality teams to clarify process steps, identify inefficiencies, and assist in documenting standard work and developing combination sheets. Provide timely updates and summaries to ongoing improvement projects while maintaining safety and professionalism in production and laboratory environments. Work onsite with a flexible schedule to support observations across multiple shifts, including early mornings and evenings, as part of a part-time role from September through December.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree or High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution
  • Work onsite

  • This internship will last from Sept - December
  • Approx 20 hours as week

  • Good observational skills with the ability to recognize process variation and inefficiencies
  • Interest in operations, manufacturing, lean principles, or continuous improvement
  • Ability to organize data and document findings clearly and consistently
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with hourly and salaried team members
  • Willingness to learn manufacturing and inspection processes in a hands-on environment
  • Comfortable working independently while also collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Flexible and dependable, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and schedules
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with manufacturing, industrial engineering, quality systems, or time study methods
