Job Summary
Uphold high biosecurity and animal welfare standards while providing hands-on care for growing pigs and maintaining herd health and vaccination programs across multiple sites. Care for the pig herd by executing heat induction processes, assisting with gilt blood testing, and adjusting ventilation systems. Maintain required gilt records and receive training to ensure outstanding animal care and handling. This role involves site-to-site travel using your own vehicle, requiring a valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance. The position offers a sign-on and retention bonus of $2,500, starts at $20.00/hr, and includes comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan. Work Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with every other weekend and an average of 40-45 hours per week.
