Job Summary
Finance Manager position based in Hyderabad, India, within BASF’s Global Capability Center, responsible for end-to-end financial operations, statutory compliance, tax management, and internal controls for the GCC. Oversees budgeting/forecasting, financial statement preparation under Indian GAAP and corporate standards, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, cash flow and liquidity management, and internal controls. Leads cost control, monthly/quarterly/annual reporting to corporate, variance analysis, and ROI assessments for digitalization projects. Manages direct/indirect taxation (GST, income tax, withholding tax), tax return filings, audits, transfer pricing documentation, and regulatory compliance under Companies Act and FEMA. Coordinates treasury activities, banking relationships, foreign exchange, and risk management; collaborates with HR, procurement, and operations. Represents the Finance, Controlling and Tax function on the Steering Team; liaises with central Controlling & Finance in Germany and other GCCs. Seeks process improvements and supports digital transformation initiatives with analytical insights and ROI calculations; requires CA qualification, 6-8 years’ multinational/GCC finance experience, SAP/ERP proficiency, and strong analytical/communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA)
- 6-8 years experience in finance, controlling, and taxation
- Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP, IFRS, and corporate reporting standards
- Direct and indirect taxation expertise including GST and transfer pricing
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and digital finance tools
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
